A limb has fallen from our family tree
that says grieve not for me,
remember the good times laughter & songs,
the great life I lived while I was strong.
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mom, Vera Louise Scott, peacefully in her 88th year at the LACGH on September 14th surrounded by her family.
Louise enjoyed plants, her many flower gardens and absolutely adored and spoiled her family pets. She was very crafty always creating beautiful display pieces reusing and recycling many items. She enjoyed cooking, baking, entertaining, and playing bingo and cards with friends and family. She always rocked Christmas, with a tree in every room, an extravagant Christmas village on display and elaborate lights and decorations. We shared many fond memories of fun times spent with family and friends at the cottage on Skootamatta Lake.
She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Robert Scott (Patti), Stephen Scott, Karen Rice (Steve) and Karl Scott (Lisa), by her grandchildren Candi Meade, Tasha Whalen (Adam), Kara Scott (Andrew), Logan Scott (Makayla) Alexa Hisko (Connor) and Anderson Scott, Great Grandchildren Kal Meade, Caleb, Colt, William and Stetson Whalen, and Hunter Carroll, her sister Lois Cook(Howard), sister in law Nancy Scott, many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, John (Jack)Scott, sisters Mildred Oliver, Maysil Morgan, Marion Pringle, grandson Gary Rice, and parents Harold and Florence Young.
A private family celebration will be held in her honour.
Memorial Donations may be made in Louise Scott’s name to The Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the health care team at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital, paramedics, and PSW's and nurses who came to her home, for all of the care comfort and compassion they provided.
We will all hold you in our hearts until we can hold you in Heaven!❤️❤️
