Husband, Dad, Grand Dad and Great Grand Dad. He was one of a kind. There was nothing in this world he loved more than his family. 58 years of marriage, 3 beautiful daughters whom he was extremely proud of, 9 wonderful grandchildren and 2 adorable great granddaughters.
Wayne spent 39 years working for the Toronto Star where he was instrumental in launching the New in Homes section. As longtime members of the BQYC, they would spend their summers boating the Bay of Quinte and surrounding waters. When they had seen all there was to see, they split their time between their homes in Belleville, ON and Fort Myers Beach, FLA.

The family would like to thank ALL of the health care workers who provided kind, compassionate care to Wayne. A special and sincere thank-you to his nurse Michelle from Home and Community Care Services, the wonderful Team at the QHC Dr. Douglas A MacIntosh Cancer Clinic and finally, the Quinte 4 nursing and care team and the special support they gave to Wayne and his family in his final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Belleville General Hospital Foundation, supporting Cancer Care would be very much appreciated.
