Shirley Marie Coveney

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Coveney on July 27, 2025, at the
age of 85. She passed away peacefully in the presence of family at Quinte Hospice.

Shirley was predeceased by her parents, William and Electa, and her siblings Jean, Bill,
Catherine, and Dorothy. She is survived by her loving sister Verna and brother Harold.

A bonus mom to Christine (Jim) and Shelley, Shirley was also a cherished honorary grandmother
to Megan, Lucas, and Mathew. She was deeply loved by the many dogs who shared her life over
the years.

Shirley took great pride in her many years of teaching, touching the lives of countless students
with her wisdom, patience, and kindness.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no service. Friends and family are invited to honour her
memory in their own personal way. Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to Hospice Quinte or Community Care
Northumberland.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered
