Shirley Anne Bennett (nee Hill)

July 7, 1939 - March 2, 2025

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother Shirley Bennett on March 2, 2025, age 85 years, at Hospice Quinte, with her family by her side.

Our clever mother will be remembered for her immense strength and her love of life. When we think of her, we will remember her enjoyment of crossword puzzles, her love of giving solicited, as well as unsolicited advice, and her pleasure in preparing holiday dinners for her family. We will miss her great cooking, especially her turkey, dressing and coleslaw.

Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Catherine Hill of Brockville and her brother Irvin Hill. Devoted wife to the late Ronald Bennett and loving mother to Michael, late Janice (Bob), Dianne, Kathy (Mario Sr.), Joan (Mahmut) and Sam (Tammy). She will be sadly missed by her sister Mary Helen Hill. She will always be cherished by her grandchildren Shawn (Julie), Lisa (Andrew), Mario Jr. (Kayla), Brandon (Stephanie), Luke, Derek and Kayla and great-grandchildren Isaiah, Charlotte, Michael, Livia, Nathan, Lucy, Bria, Hudson, Nash, Jordyn and Remi.

Cremation has taken place with Milestone Cremation Services, Napanee.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Quinte, Ontario Health at Home, Home and Community Care Support Services and ParaMed for their compassionate care and support.
