Sergiy Gurba Obituary

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children at Hospice Prince Edward on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at the age of 62.

He will be forever missed by his devoted wife Oksana, a companion of 40 years. Cherished father of Nat Gurba of Picton and Olena Gurba (Andrew) of Picton. Proud son of Kateryna of Kyiv, Ukraine. Beloved brother of Nataliya of Kyiv, Ukraine. Uncle to Tanya and Katya.

Sergiy loved to cook, garden, and above all, spend time with his family. He had many hobbies, and was relentlessly inquisitive and optimistic. During his last few weeks of life he remarked that looking back at his 62 years he could only find memories of “one wonderful thing after another.”

Cremation had been entrusted to Milestone Cremation Services, Napanee. Memorial donations made in Sergiy’s memory to Hospice Prince Edward would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences, photos and memories can be shared at www.milestonecremation.ca.
