It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ron at the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Jeannie Kimmett-Burton of 15 years, who was by his side. Loving father of Dan Burton (Sherri) of Parry Sound, Heather Stern (late Matt) of St. Thomas and Tracy Burton (Dan) of Parry Sound. Grandfather of Kyle, Devin and Justin Burton, Ryan and Alex Stern, Nathan Watkinson (Laura) and Kera Watkinson (Rob). Great-Grandfather of Lloyd and Madison Watkinson-Ball. Dear brother of Harold Burton (Mary Lou) of Wheatley. Step-Father of Michael Kimmett (Kim) of Newburgh and Terri Garrett (Marty) of Tamworth. Step-Grandfather of Nolan Kimmett (Kelly), Claire Kimmett and Mackenzie Garrett (Jack). Fondly remembered by his many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews, special friends and their families. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Charlotte (Marshall) Burton, brother James (Doreen) Burton and sister Charlotte (Doug) McGinnis. In keeping with Ron’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private graveside ceremony to be held at a later date. Memorial donations made to the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
