Robert Story

Sadly we announce the passing of Robert Gordon Story on July 6, 2025 at the young age of 68. He was born in Ottawa on January 9, 1957 and was raised out west. After a brave battle with cancer Bob passed away peacefully at The Heart of Hastings Hospice with the love of his life Lynda by his side.

He is survived by his wife Lynda and her cherished children, son Michael (Vanessa), daughter Deanne (Bruce) and Kari (Glenn) and 7 beautiful grandchildren who will miss him dearly.

Bob was the son of the late Bob and Mary Story and brother to Kerri, Ken, Shawn and Leigh Ann.

He was a transport driver for most of his adult life. In the end he specialized in oversized, heavy loads, out of King City, Ontario, which he really enjoyed. Eventually Lynda and him bought a new house in Trenton, Ontario and he started working for the builder driving a dump truck until it was time to retire. He had so much more life to live and will be deeply missed.

Cremation has been entrusted to Milestone Cremation Services Inc, Napanee. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in Bob's memory can be made to The Heart of Hastings Hospice.
