Robert Perkins Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Perkins in his 83rd year. Bob was a loving husband to Carol (nee Gard) for 59 years. He was a devoted father to Leah (James) Birmingham and Scott (Deb) Perkins. Bob was a proud grandfather to Jakob and Dylan.

He is also survived by many extended family members who were close to his heart. As well as the surrogate kids and grandkids he formed by being a second Dad to many of Scott and Leah's friends. Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bob spent most of his career as a manager at Brewer’s Retail, where he was respected for his kindness, good humour, and the lasting friendships he built. In his younger years, Bob pursued his passion for photography through studies at Fanshawe College, a love he carried with him throughout his life.

An avid outdoorsman, Bob found joy in nature, whether through his photography, fishing and boating adventures, or time spent at the family cottage. His warmth, sense of humour, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures created countless memories that his family and friends will hold dear forever.

In honouring his life, we celebrate a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left an enduring legacy of kindness, generosity, and joy.

Please note, there will be two celebrations of life:

Leah and Jamey - May 17th, 6PM-9PM at Backdrafts Bar and Grill,1101 Jalna Blvd, London. The owners have kindly closed the bar for this event.

Scott and Deb - Plans are underway to bring Mom back to the community to celebrate Dad’s life with the Perkins family. We invite you to kindly email us so we can update all family and friends once everything is finalized. bobperkinscelebrationoflife@gmail.com

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory can be made to the CCF PSP Foundation to support awareness and research for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, the condition Bob bravely faced, or to the  Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre.
