In Loving Memory of Richard L. Harrington
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard L. Harrington, born July 28, 1964, in Picton, Ontario, to parents Joan Hennessy and Leon Harrington. Richard (“Rick”) passed away peacefully on October 27th, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.
Rick is survived by his beloved wife Janet, whom he married on July 24, 1998, and by his five children: Devin (Jamie), Tara (Jason), Cody (Holly), Breanna (Tyler), and Angela (Eddy). He was a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy. Survived by mother Joan Hennessy, sister Laura Lee, brother David (Ellen), mother in law Penny (James), Nephew Dustin, nieces and nephews, his special “sister” Tammy Snider, best friend Eric Kimball and loyal companion Maggie (dog).
Rick was a hardworking man who dedicated over 30 years to the flooring industry. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and craftsmanship. Beyond his work, Rick’s greatest pride and purpose came from his family. He was the kind of man who would do anything for those he loved and always put family above all else.
He is preceded in death by his son Jeremiah, his father Leon, his brothers Ronald and Donald and his beloved dog Max.
A special thank you to Ricks care team, Brad and Esther, the staff at Hospice and all those who cared for him through his cancer journey. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced. If friends and family wish to donate, please donate to Picton Hospice.
Rick will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
