Raymond Samuel Jury passed away peacefully at Moira Place surrounded by his loved ones on the morning of Thursday, September 18, 2025 at the age of 89.
Ray was born in Brantford, Ontario on June 13, 1936. He is predeceased by his parents Edward “Ed” and Ellen (nee Jaques) Jury, as well as his brother Harold Jury.
Ray was an avid farmer for over 30 years, obtaining his credentials from Guelph Agricultural College. Subsequently he spent his later years in various entrepreneurial ventures, including heavy equipment operator, small motor repair, and teaching his trade at Loyalist College. He finished off his career as a snowplough driver working for the department of highways in Stirling Ontario.
Ray’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of his wife, Linda Watts-Jury (Clarke), his children, Susan Pollard, Linda Bloedorn (Otto), as well as his stepchildren Sherrie Watts (Larry Sinclair), Matthew Watts and Melanie Ryan, (Jayson). He will be greatly missed by his 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his love of baseball as well as his sense of humour and famous whitty quips.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Tweed Lions Hungerford Hall, 65 Victoria St., Tweed, Ontario, on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
