Norma (Layfield) Fitchett

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the John M. Parrott Centre, Napanee on Friday, March 20, 2026 at the age of 75. Norma will be forever missed by her devoted husband Brian Fitchett of 56 years. Cherished mother of Brad Fitchett (Erin) of British Columbia and Becky Fitchett of Napanee. Dear grandmother of Marley (Billy), Gina and great-grandmother of Oscar and Dakota. Beloved sister of Denny Layfield (Dina) of Cambridge, Brian Layfield (Patti) of Napanee and Susie Vick (Drew) of Northport. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Shirley Layfield as well as her siblings Karen Aman (Peter) and Dave Layfield. Norma loved getting to the Layfield Family Cottage where she could truly relax. She made many fond memories that she held dear to her heart with her family and friends. Norma also loved travelling the globe with her husband and best friend Brian. Her favourite destination was Hawaii where she enjoyed 3 life changing vacations. She dedicated the majority of her career as being Deli Manager of the local A&P where she made many memorial relationships with members of our community. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Milestone Cremation Service. A Celebration of Norma’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church. Memorial donations made in Norma’s Memory made to the John M.
