Maurice Asselstine Obituary

Maurice Lyman Asselstine passed away peacefully at the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the age of 86. He was born on January 10, 1940.

Maurice was the beloved eldest son of the late Lyman and Flossy Asselstine. He was predeceased by his siblings Harold Asselstine (Darlene), Neil Asselstine (Valerie), and Harry Asselstine.

He will be fondly remembered by his good friend and companion, Linda Ward. Maurice is lovingly remembered by his sons, Kenneth Asselstine (Katie) and Steve Asselstine (Dorothy Knox), and by the memory of his late daughter in law, Angela Rylatt. Maurice was a proud grandfather to Randy, Jenni, Tiffany, and Brandon Asselstine, and a cherished great-grandfather to Noah Fraser, Sedona Asselstine, and Tia Fraser.

Maurice was predeceased by his beloved wives, Joan Asselstine and Marilyn Asselstine. He is also fondly remembered by his good friend and companion, Linda Ward.

A family graveside service will be held in the spring.
