Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the John M. Parrott Centre, Napanee on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the age of 84. Betty will be deeply missed by her son Wayne of Napanee. Cherished grandmother of Bradley Elder of British Columbia and Melissa Harmon (David) of Bath and great-grandmother of Faith Harmon. Beloved sister of Ross Clow (Donna) of Verona. Predeceased by her parents Daniel and Mary Clow as well as her siblings Laura Grant (Aubrey), Arthur Clow (Clara) and Lois Pero. Betty had such a large heart and she dedicated much of her time helping the less fortunate and sick children. When Betty became immobile she started quilting and knitting. She donated thousands of items such as quilts, mittens, finger puppets and so much more to CHEO and Sick Kids Hospital. Betty also worked with her church fundraising money, clothing and food to be sent to various native reserves in the far northern parts of Ontario. Over the years they have sent countless transport trucks loaded with supplies to these small communities. Betty left this world proud knowing she left it better than she found it. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Milestone Cremation Service, Napanee. A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at a later date followed by a graveside service at Morven Cemetery. For those who wish to honour Betty’s memory please do as she would and show a stranger an act of kindness or help someone who is less fortunate than yourself or do something special for child. Make the world a better place to live just like Betty did. Online condolences, photos and memories can be shared at www.milestonecremation.ca.
