Mary (Bratty) Kisielis

Mary Kisielis (nee Bratty) – wife, mother, farmer and registered nurse - passed away peacefully, with her family and her loving caregiver by her side on Monday September 22, 2025 at Westgate Lodge in Belleville. Predeceased by Joseph, her devoted husband and partner of over 60 years.

Mary will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Tina (Rod) and Patty (Paolo), her grandchildren Tara (Jamie) and Andrew, her older brother Roy (Ann), and her sister-in-law Marilyn. Mary was predeceased by her loving sister Lorene and younger brother Ron.

Born and raised in Port Burwell Ontario, Mary and Joe met at Tillsonburg High School and were married following completion of her nursing degree. The couple moved to Northumberland County and raised their family on a tobacco farm. In their retirement, they moved to Belleville and enjoyed golfing with good friends and visiting with family.

Cremation has taken place and a mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic church will be arranged when the family has determined a date. An internment of ashes ceremony will take place at Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in Tillsonburg.
