Mark Whitty

Mark Whitty passed away peacefully at his Tamworth residence on Friday, November 29, 2024 at the age of 61, surrounded by his loving wife. He was a devoted husband to Heather, a loving father to Matthew and Alyssa (Kody), and a proud grandfather to Alexis, Kashton and his newest treasurer Hendrex. Mark, the son of Raymond Whitty and late Mary Fay Whitty and brother to Gregg (Marilynn), Jill (Garth), and Scott (Billie-Jo).

Mark fought a courageous battle against Parkinson's plus disease. Prior to his diagnosis, Mark enjoyed hiking with his dogs Bear & Jackson, camping, fishing, and exploring his interests in cars, racing, and his race simulator along with his other video games. Mark loved to draw. He also enjoyed watching the news. Among his many possessions, Mark treasured a Volkswagen Beetle that he had restored and painted it yellow when he was young, which held sentimental value as it was the car Mark had when he met his lifelong partner Heather, of 38 years. 

Mark was an extraordinary individual, recognized for his strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, sense of humor, caring attitude, adventurous spirit, and exceptional qualities. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
