After a short battle with cancer, we are very sad to announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother. Beloved mother to daughters Susan Ferguson and Berta Black. Cherished Grandmother to Corey (Lynsey), Shawn (Shawnee)* and her great grandchildren; Dylan and Nathan. Very special Aunt to Cindy Gaudet (Kevin) and Jane Baduik from Nova Scotia.
Marjorie will be greatly missed by her grand “puppy”, along with her loving nieces and nephews, the Members of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 110.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert E. Black, her parents Charlie Turner (Dublin, Ireland) and Gertrude McChritchie (Glace Bay, Nova Scotia), her brothers George Turner (Vivian), Dave Turner (Veronica) and sisters Elizabeth Neary, Sis Turner (Eg), Ada Guthro (Charlie), Dorothy O’Brien(Josie)
Marjorie worked various jobs growing up in Cape Breton, then left to head to Toronto, Ontario where she met the “true love of her life”, Bob.
Due to COVID 19 A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marjorie’s memory to The Canadian Legion “Poppy Fund”, Branch 110, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
