Margaret Alice Rose Palmateer

The Toronto Blue Jays lost one of their biggest fans. It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret (Peggy) Palmateer announce her peaceful passing on April 15th 2025, surrounded by family.

Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her children John (Nancy), Susan (Brian), Karen (Wayne), Debbie (John), Bill (Jen) several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Siblings George Hughes (Emily), Harry Hughes (Loretta), Rodney Hughes(Heather) and Eileen Cain.

She was predeceased by husband Royce and sons Barry and Allen(Valerie),her parents Thomas and Lily Hughes and sister Twila Parks.

At Peggy's request she has been cremated and no services will be held. Interment will take place Sunday,  May 4, 2025 at Camden V Cemetery on Hinch Rd. This will be an intimate family gathering. After burial there will be a Celebration of Life held at the Deseronto Legion (upstairs) at 1:00pm – 4:00pm.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff of LACGH for their care and compassion for mom.

Memorial donations can be made in Peggy's name to the Kidney Foundation of Canada at 880-5160 Decarie Blvd. Montreal QC H3X 2H9 or the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital.
