Jordan passed away suddenly on May 2, 2021 after spending his Saturday doing all the things he loved: cuddling his beloved cat, Tig; walking his “goofie goof” dog, Bowie boy; planting trees and tending the land on the family farm near Marysville; and watching the hockey game with his dad and stepmom.
Jordan loved his family and will be deeply missed by his father, David Cowdy and stepmother, Debbie Olsen; his sisters Rebecca Cowdy, Megan Russell and brother-in-law Scott.; his aunt Gay and cousins Cheryl and Catherine; his aunt Marlene and her five boys; aunt Marie and uncle Glenn. He will also be missed by the friends he loved, who knew him as PJ and remember him for his “sweet genuine soul” and “infectious laugh.” Jordan baked a mean Boston Cream donut and will be missed by his friends and co-workers at the Tim Horton’s in Napanee. He will also be missed by the many cats, dogs, horses and birds who lived with or near him on the farm and knew him to be a kind and gentle human.
Jordan’s ashes will be buried on the farm he loved, under a tree. Predeceased by his mother Janet Russell; uncle Bill Cowdy; grandparents Bill and Joan Cowdy; and grandmother, Joan Crawford. He will rest in peace with them, near his favourite river.
Donations can be made in Jordan’s memory to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society.
