John Richard Malcolm

"Our beloved John, my soulmate and best friend for 35 years, was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 4 terminal esophageal cancer on December 1st, 2023. Although told by doctors he had approximately 4 to 6 months remaining, his time with us was abruptly cut short when he left us a mere 20 days later.

He leaves behind a vast legacy through the thousands of lives touched by his extraordinary talent. Anyone that had the pleasure of seeing John perform,  understands the impact he had and what a loss this is.

John was still singing at his peak up until a month before his death. Many have remarked that he never put on a bad show in his life....ever! On his final day with us, he spoke with joy and the anticipation of putting on one final show for his family and friends, but sadly time ran out.  

There have been numerous online posts and articles of tribute to John, so I don't feel the need to repeat his life accomplishments here. His music speaks to this, better then I ever could in words.

I am so thankful that I have had the support and comfort of our kids and their spouses, during this time. Kim (Ryan) Sean, Ryan (Rebecca) Jordan (John) Reagan (Amanda) Grayson (Laura) Chris (Dorina) and Julie.

We were blessed with fourteen grandkiddies. Paige, Cole, Hayden, Matthew, Chloe, Christopher, Livia, Ella, Jovie, Alexandra, Bailey, Emma, Heather and Laura.

John, will be fondly remembered by his siblings, Sylvia, David (Corrine) and Heather. 

Please know I send my heartfelt gratitude to everyone that reached out with their condolences, prayers, and memories of my "Johnny Boy".

As mentioned, John's hope was to have "one last show", a "Celebration of Friends" before he left us. In lieu of this final wish, we invite you to join us for a celebration of John’s life and music.
