Jason Coughlin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jason Cecil Coughlin, who left us on September 22, 2024, at the age of 53. Born on January 15, 1971, to Kenneth Wayne Coughlin (deceased) and Olwyn May Barrie Coughlin, Jason was a cherished son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He leaves behind his beloved mother, Olwyn; his daughter Jessica Coughlin and her partner Ryan; and his son Zachary Coughlin and his partner Cass. Jason was also the proud grandfather of Hailey and Elaina, who brought immense joy into his life. He is survived by his younger sister Fiona Coughlin and his two younger brothers Matthew Coughlin and Andrew Coughlin, who will forever hold him in their hearts.

A gifted artist, chef and restaurateur, Jason’s culinary talent and entrepreneurial spirit made him a successful business partner in several ventures. He was known not only for his incredible food but for the laughter he brought to every gathering. His wicked sense of humor, quick wit, and warm heart earned him countless friends, all of whom will miss his company dearly.

Jason was also passionate about dogs, and his love for them was evident to all who knew him. Whether enjoying long walks with them or relaxing for a night of thriller movies with them by his side, Jason found comfort and joy in the company of his beloved dogs.

His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and siblings, who will carry forward his love, humor, and passion for life. His memory will forever be treasured by those who were lucky enough to know him.

A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 5th, 2024 , 1:00pm at Andrews Presbyterian Church, Amherstburg, Ontario.
