With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James (Jimmie/Jim) Eric Morgan Love, with loved ones by his side, at Hospice Quinte, Belleville on May 12, 2025. His zest for life will be missed by his children Morgan and Allison (Todd), grandson Cameron, sister Anne (Karl), brother Doug (Meaghan) and special friend and partner of 25 years, Cindy Lucas. His cousin, Patty will miss their Sunday morning telephone chats.
Predeceased by parents Morgan (Moe) and Joyce (Biilman), brothers Joe and John.
Jimmie’s life’s work was to be an instigator of fun and frivolity. For many years, he was a Rexdale Boy before moving to Belleville to raise his family. Jim worked to live and enjoyed a variety of interests such as the Quinte Film Alternative and The Belleville Theatre Guild where he was on the board of directors and appeared in a few productions. An enthusiastic music connoisseur and avid reader, he was an information gatherer, conversationalist, and storyteller who liked to embellish. Jim loved people. His wit, perspective, and humour will be missed.
Break on Through (to the Other Side), Jimmie!
At Jim’s request, cremation has taken place. Come and reminisce with family and friends about Jimmie’s shenanigans at a Celebration of Life at Meyer’s Creek Brewery, Belleville, Ontario, on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. In memory of Jimmie, donations can be made to ALS Canada https://als.ca/take-action/ways-to-give/ or Hospice Quinte https://hospicequinte.ca/donate/
