James Dutton Jeffs, of Campellford, passed away peacefully on June 05, 2026, at Station Place Long-Term Care Home in Havelock, in his 94th year.
Jim was born in Campbellford to Gerald and Lydia Jeffs and was predeceased by his sisters Joan McCulloch and Betty Fry.
Jim will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 72 years, Bernice ‘Betty’ Elizabeth Jeffs (ne:Orser), his daughter Kathryn (Rob) Jones of St. Catharines, sons Stephen (Katharine) of Fenwick, and Scott (Rebecca) of Oro-Medonte, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Jim had a long career as an Electrical Operator with Ontario Hydro/Hydro One, moving around the province for many years before settling in Hamilton. After retiring, Jim returned to Campbellford where his hydro career had started many years before. Jim was very athletic in his younger life and that carried on into his elder years with Old-timers Hockey, Golf and Curling. Jim was also a very fine artist creating many wonderful paintings that are now being cherished by numerous family members.
