Jack Naish Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Walter Naish at his home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.  Jack, who was living in Belleville at the time of his passing, was in his 86th year.

Born on June 12,1939 in Cramahe Township to the late Minnie Evelyn Patterson (nee Naish), Dad is predeceased by his wife of 61 years Minnie Patricia Naish (nee Peebles).  Dear father of Cheryl (Ron), Susan (Dan), Jacqueline (Brian) and Heather (Greg).  Proud grandfather of Toni-Lynn (Randy), Nicole (Jesse), Lucas (Logan), Christina (Justin), Dylan (Emily) and Cole and proud great-grandfather of Robyn, Jadelyn, Lyra and Erik.  Dad loved nothing more than having all of his family gathered at his home.

An avid ball player in his youth, Dad coached minor ball in Batawa and Frankford for many years.  He was even known to umpire the odd girls softball game in Batawa.

He was active in the community having been a member of the Batawa Fire Department when he lived in the village and a Lions Club Member in Frankford.  Dad played a big role in bringing the Wintario Draw to Frankford.

A long-time employee of the Bata Shoe Company and later Cooney Transport, Dad retired in 2019.

A graveside service at the Castleton Cemetry will be arranged at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
