Harold "Beau" Maracle

It is with sad hearts that our family announces the passing of Harold Albert Maracle (known always as Beau) on Monday, November 3rd, 2025 at the John M. Parrot Centre , Napanee.

Beau was the beloved husband of Gail Maracle (Rollins) and cherished Dad of Kevin (Karla Montanez Hernandez) and Michelle Maracle (John Herring) and proud grandfather of Tory, Claire, Charlotte and Ryan.

Beau was born in Deseronto on May 1st, 1945 to Harold Albert Francis Maracle and Gene Mae Andrew. The family moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario when he was four. He was the second of 5 children (Robert, Rick, Janis and Beverly, all deceased). He leaves behind in-laws, Sharon Maracle, Peter Sas, Kim and Jacqueline Matchett, Robert Rollins, and a half-sister, Sandi Martin, as well as 9 nieces and nephews.

Beau enlisted in the Canadian Navy as a teenager and served 3 years on the warships Kootenay, Yukon and Assiniboine.

Beau was a passionate curler and baseball player. Nobody called Beau when the Blue Jays were playing. He had a well-developed sense of humour, was an avid reader, and had a keen interest in history, current affairs, and food. He was a patient, kind-hearted and devoted Dad who taught his children to always try their hardest.

Beau and Gail recently and quietly celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary. No better life partner will ever be found.

The family would like to send a sincere thank you to Dr. Robichaud and the excellent and caring staff of Rose Garden, JMPC. We are very appreciative of your efforts and care: you were like family to him.

For those who wish, the family would appreciate donations to the John M. Parrot Centre – Activities Committee, established to ensure that all residents enjoy their stay while residing at the Centre.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
