It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Gerald after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived, deeply loved and will be sadly missed by his wife Evelyn and his children Janine, Geraldine, Mary Jane and Joseph Badour (Lisa), his stepchildren Lisa Simpson (Carl), Patricia Jaynes (Bill), Yvonne and Lawrence Morey, and the Poppie or Papa of fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and wore the name proudly.
He is survived by his brother in-law Sam Camilleri and his sister-in-law Virgina Badour. Predeceased by his parents Geraldine and Frank Badour, his sister Nadine Campbell (Les), Frances Simpson (Noel), Boyce Badour, Ron Badour and Shirley Camilleri. He will be dearly missed by nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Gerald belonged to Local 249 of the Carpenters Union until retirement and worked for M. Sullivan & Sons Construction for the majority of his working career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and carpentry. He was never bored, if there wasn't something for him to do then he would create something. Always a hard worker who would pass on the fruits of his labour.
We would like to thank Kingston Health Science Centre, Lennox & Addington Hospital, Community Services, Palliative Care, Dr. Kate Koester and the many, many wonderful caregivers. A special thanks to his long time P.S.W. Lorraine for such great care.
A Graveside Service will take place at Oconto Cemetery, 128395 Road 38, Tichborne, Ont. on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 2:00pm. Family will welcome guests following the service. There will be a Celebration of Life at the United Church Hall "Lower Level" in Parham Ontario.
