It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Frederick Joseph Doyle Jr. at Moira Place, Tweed on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at the age of 85.

Fred will be forever missed by his devoted wife Cherie (Long, Bateman) and the late Linda (Cockerill). Cherished father of Christopher Doyle and step-father of Valla Reid and the late Erica Bateman. Proud farmer papa of Logan (Emma) and Aaron. Step-papa of Skylar and Aurora. Beloved brother of Karen McFadden (Dave) and Jim Medland as well as his in-laws Julie Hill (Wayne), Cathie Medland (Ken), Debbie Campion (Ken), Brenda Bridle (Gary) and Yvonne Medland. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Frederick Doyle Sr. and Jackie Medland (Bill) as well as his siblings Mike, Mark, Martin and Danny Medland.

A Celebration of Fred’s Life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 1:00 pm – 3:oo pm at the Lakefield Legion Branch 77. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations made to St. John’s Anglican Church, Madoc or the Heart of Hastings Hospice, Madoc would be appreciated by the family.
