Dorothy "Marie" (Edmondson) Northey

Marie Northey (née Edmondson) passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on August 20th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Marie is survived by her mother, Dorothy Edmondson, who lives at Moira Place in Tweed; her husband of 47 years, Fred Northey; and her children, Jacqueline Northey, Brooke & Jason Morden, and Laura Northey. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Madison, Colin, Luca, Isaac, and Alastair; her brother, John Edmondson & wife Cindy; and her brother-in-law, Lennard Donker. She is predeceased by her father, Fred Edmondson; sister, Shirley Donker; sister, Margaret Brown & husband Bob. She was loved and respected by her extended family, friends, and community. 

Marie was a leading member of the Thomasburg United Church, and Treasurer of the Scholarship Trust Fund of the CFUW Belleville and District. She retired from her role as a Chartered Professional Accountant and Partner at Welch LLP in 2015 after a 40+ year career. 

The cremation has been entrusted with Milestone Cremation Services, Napanee. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 27th, 2024 from 2-3 pm and 6-7 pm at Roslin Thomasburg United Church, 122 Clare St., Thomasburg. A Celebration of Life will be held at the church on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, at 10am (limited seating).

Donations in Marie’s memory can be made to the CFUW Scholarship Trust Fund, or to the Roslin Thomasburg United Church.

The church will be open for flower deliveries as of 10am on Tuesday.
