Sadly, Diana pass away quietly from non-Covid-19 causes in her 79th year at Trenton Memorial Hospital after suffering for a few months the side-effects of a few strokes.
Diana was born in Trenton, Ontario, and lived all her life in the Trenton and Brighton areas. She was raised on the Third Concession Road of Murray Township as the only daughter of Walter and Edith Nancarrow (Crews). It was also here that she met and married Pauls Edward Ross in 1959 who passed away some 15 or so years ago. They had three children, Edward William, Stephen Gilbert and Susan Lynn.
Diana, who married at a young age, worked as a receptionist for a number of medical professionals while raising her three children. With the kids grown, she headed back to school herself to earn her high school diploma, and then on to nursing collage. Diana worked for many years at Trent Valley Lodge and Applefest Lodge nursing homes before retiring herself to Brighton, where she lived for more then 25-years.
Diana will be missed by her many friends. So many friends. Many who were friends for more years than Diana ever felt comfortable reflecting upon. She cherished her friendships, enjoying the wonderful times, and commiserating during the sad times. Diana’s closest friends, Roxie Dorland (nearly all their life) of Wooler, and Carol Bosma (for more than 30 years) of Trenton will forever remain close in her heart.
In accordance with Diana’s wishes, she will be cremated. and her ashes will be scatter where she will have a view of the waters of Lake Ontario for eternity. Also in accordance to Diana’s wishes, there will be no service and please contribute to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers.
It is with sadness for the loss, but with happiness for where Diana is now that we all at this time say our good-byes. …earth to earth and ashes to ashes… A dear mother…
