Deborah Irene Thrift

Deborah Irene Thrift passed at Lennox-Addington County General Hospital, in Napanee, Ontario, on Monday September 7, 2020, in her 59th year.

This day is to remember for those we love.

They don’t go away they walk beside us every day;

Unseen, unheard, but always near to help us out.

Their love remembered and very dear.

Thank God, He has given us the strength to carry on in life.

We cherish all the memories you left us.

Forever and a day, always in our hearts.

Debbie is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Thrift, and a son, David Thrift. She also leaves lifelong friend and life partner Deb Danis, who will continue the work Debbie began in 2000 at New Wings Bird Rescue & Sanctuary in Napanee, a privately run rescue for Companion Parrots needing new homes that offered occasional adoptions but primarily was a sanctuary providing a permanent home for displaced birds. This was Debbie’s passion and mission in life.
