Born January 12, 1949 in Belleville, Ontario and a long-term resident of Bath, Ontario, Craig passed away in the early hours of December 30, 2020 in the comfort of his own bed under the care of his loving wife Sandra Langabeer-Rump.
At 50 years of age Craig retired from the Ministry of Revenue and found his love of cooking for large family gatherings, basically claiming the kitchen as his domain. His wife Sandra was the envy of her office as Craig always prepared her lunch before heading off to the golf course. If supper wasn’t started when she got home, she knew he had plans to eat out, which they did often.
Craig enjoyed playing many sports including baseball, football, hockey and especially golf. He also loved boating from Bath to Belleville, through the Thousand Islands and up the St. Lawrence to Montreal and Montebello with many wonderful friends and family. Over the years there was a great deal of winter travelling to Florida, Texas, several Caribbean Island, and many parts of Southern Europe, such as Greece, Spain, Gibraltar, Portugal’s Algarve and Islands as well as Morocco. The rest of the year he enjoyed road trips in his Boxster with the top down. These trips influenced the design of his only tattoo.
He was an exceptional husband, a strong and loving father and a very proud grandfather. Predeceased by his parents Albert William Rump and Irene Frances (Mead) Rump and his first wife Cheryl (Givins). Forever remembered by his sister Vickki Quincey, his daughter LeeAnn and her husband Sandy Jenks, his son Travis and his wife Dianne Daite-Rump, his grandchildren Ramsey, Deandra, Santino, Darius, Roque, Reign and Ashley; his Stepson Jason Langabeer and his wife Stephanie, his stepdaughter Gillian Langabeer Hauderowicz and her husband Peter and his step-grandchildren Natalia, Owen and Alison. His wife, Sandra, blesses the day they met and is forever grateful for everything Craig brought to her life.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Ken Reid, Dr. Lawrence Hookey, Dr. Lui and Dr. Paolucci for their outstanding care during his years fighting cancer and polycythemia.
Very special thanks go to his nephew Todd Dewey for the wonderful slide presentation of special memories that will never be forgotten.
With great sorrow Craig is missed and will be held in our hearts forever.
