Cody Bowen

Cody Marcella Bowen (nee Maize) passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Cody was born in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan on April 14, 1951. Predeceased by her parents Ross Maize and Dorothy McInroy. Sister to Stan Smith (Lynda), Wayne Maize (Liz), and predeceased brother Sandy Flook.

Cody married Charles Bowen of Lakefield and had two daughters Candice Bright (Rick) of California, USA and Kristin Bell (Brad) of Stirling.

Grandma Cody will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Dylan, Ethan, and Lucas Bright. Ashton, Caitlyn and Annica Bell. Predeceased by grandchildren Atlanta and Cooper Bell.

Cody spent her entire working career at PRHC in Peterborough. In her retirement Cody enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping,  lunch with a friend, and spending time with her cat Isha. She will be remembered as a kind and generous mother, grandmother and friend.

A special thanks to Danielle and Megan and all those that helped make Mom as comfortable as possible with her care at home.

A Celebration of Cody’s Life will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the Peterborough Legion, 1pm - 5pm. Memorial donations made in Cody’s memory to UNICEF or Save The Children would be appreciated by the family.
