McCAW, Kathryn Anne

October 19, 1940 – March 11, 2024

Passed away peacefully at Hospice Prince Edward after a short but difficult battle with cancer on Monday, March 11, 2024 at the age of 83. Loved daughter of the late John Sutherland McCaw and the late Flossie McCaw (nee Robbins).  Loved sister of the late Eva McCaw Horn. Cherished mother of Leslie J Legere and her grandchildren Lauren and David Legere.  Cremation has been entrusted to Milestone Cremation Services, Napanee and a graveside service will be held at a later date at the McCaw family site in Cherry Valley Cemetery. Kathryn was more than loved by many in the County and Quinte-Quinte West area being a Home Care Palliative Nurse for many years, along with being a lifetime resident of the County with roots going back generations on both sides of her Father and Mother. As well as her many friends and family, Brothers and Sisters at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and such good friends and neighbors on Prospect Avenue, her lifelong home.  Many thanks to Dr. Hayward Stewart and her team at Prince Edward Family Health, Ali, Brad and David for taking excellent care of my mom; Caroline her Home Care Coordinator, the Nurses from Paramed, Jennifer and Sherry and all of the PSW’s from Bayshore.  And especially to the staff and nurses at Hospice Prince Edward that showed kindness, compassion and love for my mom and myself. Memorial donations, if desired, to Prince Edward Hospice, Back the Build PECM Hospital or the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Would be appreciated.
