With a heart as big as his motorcycle, Carl Steven Simmons, has taken his last adventurous ride on December 15, 2024. Born on September 14, 1966, in Peterborough, he brought a contagious sense of humor and a relentless spirit of adventure to all those he encountered. Carl was a man of many hats (he loved his hats!) - an empathetic son, a supportive brother, a proud father, a fun uncle, a witty cousin, and an adventurous motorcycle enthusiast. He was an adventurer at heart, with a love for motorcycle riding that often led him off the beaten path. He was also a tender-hearted homebody, finding joy in the simple pleasures of home life with his mother and his wooden lathe. The legacy of Carl’s caring personality and love for adventure will continue to live on through his beautiful daughter, Ashley Wallen (Ross), loving mother, Sharron Simmons, his sister, Kerri Wilson (Brad). His spirit of adventure will also be carried on by his niece, Mackenzie Wilson, his Aunts and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Simmons, his brother Kevin and many Uncles and Aunts. They are, no doubt, together now, sharing a hearty laugh and planning their next adventure together. Carl requested no formal funeral be held. As a family we will celebrate his life at the Villiers Community Centre on Saturday, May 24 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. 1497 Villiers Line, Keene, ON K0L 2G0
Let's not say goodbye, but rather, "See you later, Carl." In his honor, we encourage you to share your memories, stories, and photos of Carl on his memorial page. Carl may have left us, but his spirit of adventure, his unique sense of humor, and his supportive and empathetic heart will continue to live on in the stories we share. Keep riding that celestial highway.
May your final ride be easy, and the road stretch far and wide.
May each bend feel like a gentle curve, ’til the horizon meets the sky.
May the rush of the wind whisper in your ear, and the sun glint in your eye.
May you ride along this road with grace, as the sun sets, and falls from the sky.
May each mile be a memory for us to share and remain etched in our hearts.
May that last destination soon seem near, as you journey through uncharted paths.
So may your final ride be easy, and your spirit not be deterred.
May your bike bring you safely home, as its roar gently ebbs to a purr.”
