Barry James Crowe

Barry James Crowe passed away peacefully with the love of his family surrounding him, on the evening of Wednesday, September 17, 2025, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. 

Barry was born in Belleville, Ontario, on July 24, 1947. A dedicated and hardworking man, he spent 40 years as a millwright at the Glenn Miller paper mill. 

Barry was predeceased by his parents, James (Jim) and Mildred Crowe and his first wife Linda (Hamilton) Crowe. 

Barry’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of his wife and best friend, Cheryl (McCaskie) Crowe, his children Laurie (Trevor) Baker, Michael Crowe, and stepchildren, Jennifer (Brad) Corbett and Julie Kimball (Dean Cassidy). 

He will forever be the favourite cheerleader of his grandchildren; Taylor, Aden, Ashlyn, Bruin, Chloe, Madelyn and Reid. 

He will be greatly missed by his siblings Bev Gamble, Bob (Kathy) Crowe, his many nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. 

Barry will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, willingness to lend a helping hand, his sense of humor, but most importantly his amazing ability to just make everyone around him feel so special.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that you provide a random act of kindness in memory of Barry; passing on the smile that Barry provided so many. For those wishing to make a monetary donation, The Bridge Hospice in Warkworth was so kind at such a difficult time. 

A celebration of life will be held for Barry at the Frankford Legion (12 Mill Street, Frankford) on Sunday, September 28th from 1-5 pm; with special memories shared beginning at 3 pm.
