Antonio Dias Obituary

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Antonio Da Silva Dias on May 23, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Portugal on October 5, 1951, Antonio was the son of the late Manuel Dias and Conceição Da Silva Dias. He was predeceased by his brother, José ("Zé") Dias and is survived by his sister, Amelia Lopes. 

Antonio passed away from lung cancer in the company of family. He leaves behind his daughter, Christina Lord and her husband, Robert Lord; his son, Peter Dias; his grandchildren, Colton Lord and Tanner Lord; his sister, Amelia Lopes and brother-in-law, Raul Lopes; his nephews, Victor Lopes and Carlos Lopes; and extended family and friends in Canada and Portugal.                           

A Catholic ~ English Mass (Requiem Mass – 7 days or Missa de Sétimo Dia) will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 588 Division Street, Kingston, Ontario.

This program provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support services for individuals living with serious and persistent mental illness. Antonio benefited from these services, and the family is grateful for the care, compassion, and support he received.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of the John M. Parrott Centre and the Community High Intensity Treatment Team (CHITT) at Providence Care for the dignity, compassion, and support shown to Antonio throughout his final years.
May he rest in peace. ✝️
