Alex Baker

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Alex Baker at the age of 92, born Feb. 3, 1933 and passed suddenly in his home on October 10th, 2025.

Beloved Husband of Bernice (Young) of 71 years. Loving father of Wanda (Tom) of Kingston, Pamela (Garth) of Newburg, and Mark of Camden East. Proud grandfather of Adam, Kim (Jeff), Christina, Laura, Corey and Hailey. Great grandfather of Braylon. Survived by his brother Archie of Amherstview. He will be missed by his sister – in – law Marion Baker and numerous nieces, nephews and extend family. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Ethel Baker. Baby Freda, Ada, Eddie (Mary), Eddie, Harold and Dennis.

Alex worked a dedicated 41 years at the Strathcona Paper Mill and then he was able to spend time on his hobbies: woodworking, driving, bike riding through Camden East and watching cartoons and the Waltons.

Special thanks to all the care givers from St. Elizabeth for all the wonderful care over the past few years. Thank you to the paramedics, Firefighters and staff at the Napanee Hospital who also gave special care. Also, to all the wonderful neighbour’s.
