Jan-Michael Maile

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing, at the John M. Parrott Centre, Napanee on February 17th, 2018 at 10:20 a.m. He was 74 years of age, leaving behind only his wife Rosalind-Margaret Reid, who was by his bedside when he passed.

He was born in Frankfurt Germany, worked for IBM, later at the hotel in Zurich, Switzerland. He then moved to Sydney Australia and worked for Qantas Airways and immigrated to Canada in 1973 where he was in Real Estate in Toronto. Upon retiring, he worked in Mixed Media Contemporary Art & Photography. He enjoyed sailing, classical and jazz music, played the guitar, piano and harmonica.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church on 179 West St. Napanee, then interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to the late Jan-Michael Maile's chosen charity organization at the church or cheque made out to Rosalind Reid.

Eternal rest, grant unto Jan-Michael Maile, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in Peace. Amen
